The event will be preceded by a red carpet, signaling a return to normalcy as pandemic restrictions lessen around the country, including in Los Angeles County. At 2:30 p.m., the SAG red carpet will open. Beginning at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT, PT and E! will broadcast Live From E!: SAG Awards, anchored by Laverne Cox and co-hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown.

In terms of the show, which is the first major Hollywood guild to weigh in this awards season, MGM/House UA’s of Gucci and Netflix’s The Power of the Dog both have three nominations on the film side, though Power of the Dog, which has a whopping 12 Oscar nominations, does not have a nomination in SAG’s marquee Ensemble category. Belfast by Focus Features, CODA by Apple, Don’t Look Up by Netflix, King Richard by Warner Bros., and Gucci by Gucci were among the winners.

Actors are gearing up for the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards, when they will compete for Actors voted on by other actors.
Entertainment Weekly and PEOPLE have teamed together to bring live access to the red carpet ahead of the show’s premiere, which will include visits from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., and Daveed Diggs from Hamilton.
